As a designer I am passionate about materials. This heavily influences my final work. I feel it is important to fully understand the working nature and suitability of each material, hence I tend to stay away from CAD processes instead preferring to work in 3D physical forms. This enables me to experiment with design and function to visualise the potential outcomes. This experimentation can lead to surprising results, but produce a functional and beautiful article. Hand finishing has always been my passion; it puts my own personal stamp on everything I make.
